THE BEST BEACHES IN MALLORCA

IN THE NORTH – POLLENCA
FORMENTOR
A beautiful beach with golden sand and lovely views, however it can be very busy during the height of the summer. Drive into Puerto Pollença and follow the signs for Formentor (parking available at a charge). Alternatively you can take the ferry boat from Puerto Pollença to Formentor.
CALA SAN VICENTE
Cala San Vicente has two lovely bays with beautiful clear blue waters, which is ideal for snorkelling when the sea is calm, Cala Carbo and Cala Molins. The first bay is a sandy bay with good facilities (restaurants and sun loungers) and is manned by a lifeguard. If you continue up the windy road you will come to the second bay that is usually a little quieter.
PUERTO POLLENCA
A very long beach, stretching nearly all the way from Puerto Pollença to Port d’ Alcudia. It is a sheltered, gently sloping sandy beach with many excellent water sports available. This beach is very popular and can become crowded, but it is possible to find a quieter spot if you head along the Puerto Pollença road towards Port d’ Alcudia.
CALA MESQUIDA
Situated in the North East coast, Cala Mesquida has beautiful crystal blue water. Take the road to Alcudia, and then follow Ca’n Picafort heading for Arta. At Arta take the road signposted for Capdepera – from here the beach is a short drive.
