At Handpicked Villas we pride ourselves on providing our guests with the most up to date travel information possible. This includes any local customs, cultures, laws and rules, that may affect your invaluable time abroad.
A new civil ordinance law has been passed in Mallorca, where guests are banned from wearing Bikinis and Swim Wear in the towns and streets not adjacent to the beaches. To encourage a family-friendly atmosphere guests will only be able to wear Swim Wear on the beaches and adjacent streets but must cover up when venturing further inland. To avoid a €600 fine, we would advise packing light clothing into your beach bag, just in case.
The law is currently open to public inspection but will be in place in time for the coming summer.
