Restaurants

The island of St Barts has nearly 100 restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine ranging from the gastronomically exquisite, to delicious beachfront brunches. For those looking to treat their tastebuds to something unforgettable, St Barts has it all. Each restaurant is unique, with differing atmosphere and dishes inspired by Creole, Italy, French, Asian and much more…

Bonito – French Latin Cuisine with a unique view over Gustavia Harbour. The feel is that of a cozy beach house, and their cocktail menu is well worth the visit. Chef Laurent’s also offers in-villa catering for those wishing to enjoy a home-based dining experience.

O’Corail  – A casual beach restaurant with a whole lot of atmosphere and ample seating to take in the beautiful lagoon. Fresh fish and creole recipes dominate the menu and the rum punch is truly a winner.

La Plage – The menu is a unique blend of french culinary art and latin seasoning, with a thoroughly South-American personality and an excellent beachfront position. Expect plenty of seafood, live bands and DJ’s and don’t miss their Bikini Brunch every Saturday.

Restaurant Le Gaiac – Fine Dining at it’s best, all helmed by Chef Sylvain Revelant. The restaurant hosts a ‘Tuesday Fish Market’, Sunday Brunch du Toiny and an extensive a-la-carte menu. Notable for its innovation and extraordinary presentation.

Taino – French Cuisine with a distinct Brazilian personality. Perfect for gourmet breakfasts and romantic dinners. The beachfront setting allows diners to embrace the natural beauty of the Ocean.

Jojo Burger – Footsteps from Lorient Beach, this snack-bar is the perfect place for those looking to take a quick moment from the surf. Causal, affordable and awesome burgers.

Le Palace – Good music, friendly atmosphere and quality food. Right in the heart of Gustavia, the menu consists of traditional french cuisine as well as a heavy seafood theme.

The Hideaway – Home to many island regulars due to the wonderful hosts (British of course!) and great menu.  Their takeaway pizzas are a hit with visitors and the menu is laid-back but very tasty.

La Langouste – Sat on the stunning Flamands Bay, this fish-based restaurant is the perfect spot to try authentic island lobster. A more refined dining experience, but definitely memorable.

Supermarkets

The supermarket in St Jean is the largest on the island and is the closest you will find to the large markets found in Europe or the US,  with a well-stocked, large variety of groceries. You are most likely to find all your staples here, for St Barts villa living.
Depending on how much cooking you plan to do, you can easily complete your shopping at one of the smaller neighbourhood supermarkets, which stock many essentials as well as out-of-the-ordinary items, including local specialities.

Nightlife

The “Yacht Club” with its “Live Screen Concerts” on Gustavia Harbor, and “Casa Nikki” also in Gustavia, as well as “Le Feeling”, in Lurin, provide a wide range of alcoholic concoctions, pulsating disco music, dance floors, and the chance to catch someone’s eye across a crowded room.
