There’s nothing quite comparable to the ice cold clink of a beer bottle, the crispy and delicious offerings from a beachside menu or the soothing sensation of sand between your toes. With a fabulous array of inlets dotted along the West Coast of St Lucia, the choice of locations to rest your well-travelled legs are plentiful. Whether you’re looking to elegantly sip upon a rum soaked mojito or tuck into a lavish platter of the freshest seafood, explore our favourite waterside hideaways below…
The Naked Fisherman – Smugglers Cove, Cap Estate
Despite the hint of naughtiness in its name, the newest addition to the famed Cap Maison is hidden right on the frays of Smugglers Cove. This thatched patch of heaven is the ultimate in relaxation and bags an exquisite view to match. Whilst perfect for a tender Wagyu Burger, Surf Carpaccio or Grilled Spiny Lobster, it’s the heady cocktails that really draw the crowds. The hand crafted ‘proseccojito’ blends two of our in-house favourites to create something truly sensational.
Spinnakers – Reduit Beach, Rodney Bay
Overlooking the distant and equally beautiful Pigeon Point and Martinique, this infamous beachfront haunt is legendary for three reasons. It’s infectious atmosphere, the distinguished menu and the true hospitality of the owners; Alison and Michael. Ideally located for those staying in the North of St Lucia and nestled in the heart of Rodney Bay, Spinnakers has comfortably gained the reputation for the ultimate experience on the golden sands! (We personally recommend the Bouillabaisse or any of the seafood specialities – the freshness seriously shines through!)
Doolittle’s Restaurant & Bar – Marigot Bay
Overlooking the translucent waters of Marigot Bay St Lucia, this al-fresco eatery is a spot that guests truly fall in love with. Steeped in natural wonders with a menagerie of wildlife to casually spectate from their waterside terrace, their menu is equally as fabulous. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, visitors can step back and relax in the jewel that is Marigot at any time of the day. Feast on dishes such as conch, sea scallops or apple & cinnamon french toast and do what the Lucians do best; chill.
Bayside Bar – Sugar Beach, Soufriere
Oh, the cocktails! The deliciously combined flavours of homegrown fruits, liquor and expert knowledge. Although the menu of tropical cocktail concoctions is long, varied and superbly well executed, their relaxed beach menu is also filled with treats such as wood-fired pizza. Perfect for absorbing some of the aged whiskeys that line the bar…
